Estonian Foreign Policy Institute organizes a talk by Sir Jim McLay “A Small State at the Big Table. New Zealand Experiences in the United Nations Security Council” on Wednesday, December 9 at 15:30-17:00. Following his talk, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the topic. The talk and the following discussion will be moderated by Mr Lauri Mälksoo, Director of the Estonian Foreign Policy Institute.

The event will take place in the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and pre-registration of participants is necessary (kirsika@evi.ee). Please provide the document number that you will present for entry.

Sir Jim McLay  is a Special Envoy for New Zealand Prime Minister John Key on United Nations Security Council matters, Special Adviser to Foreign Affairs Minister  Murray McCully, as well as New Zealand’s representative to the Palestinian Authority.  Sir Jim was until earlier this year New Zealand’s permanent representative to the United Nations in New York.
